Light and Fluffy Jelly Donut in a Mug

After posting the recipes for Vanilla Mug Cake (Eggless) and Brownie in a Mug (Eggless), they became instantly popular. So, I decided to create more accessible, quick, and small-batch recipes that my blog visitors can make without eggs. Donuts are my family’s favorite, and I have already posted several donut recipes without eggs. But this post is about a quick donut treat for a single serve. This jelly donut in a mug is light, fluffy, perfectly sweetened, and eggless. It is flavored with vanilla and cinnamon, and its center is filled with strawberry jam. If you sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top, you will get a delicious cinnamon sugar donut in a mug! You can choose your favorite jam for this recipe and top the donut with your choice of toppings.

How To Make a Jelly Donut in a Mug

Place the butter in a medium to large microwavable mug and microwave until just melted, about 25 seconds.

Add sugar to the melted butter and mix well with a fork.

Add the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk until combined and smooth.

Place 1 tablespoon of the jam into the center of the batter.

Microwave for 60-70 seconds or until risen and firm on top. Depending on the type of microwave, the cooking time may vary from 60 seconds to a little more than a minute. So, watching the mug while it is in the microwave is best to avoid overcooking. Allow the doughnut in the mug to cool for 8-10 minutes. Top it with cinnamon sugar and more jam if desired, and enjoy!
