Peanuts Fudge Mixed Nuts and Seeds Chikki This time I added Pumpkin, Sunflower and Linseed seeds as well, and delighted with the results, no compromise on taste instead turned out more tastier and of course naturally more healthier. You will need :-
1/2 cup sesame seeds 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup sunflower seeds 2 tbsp. linseed seeds 1 cup grated jaggery 3-4 tbsp. ghee 1/2 tsp. cardamom powder ( Elychi ) 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg Powder ( Jaiphal )
Method :- On a low heat roast all the seeds in a heavy based pan till you get nice toasting aroma. ( It will take 8-10 minutes ) Leave it a side to cool. Take more than 3/4 of the seeds and crush coarse them in blender. Leave few spoons whole. In a heavy bottom pan heat ghee and add jaggery. Keep stirring the mixture until jaggery is completely melted. keep low heat and cook little more for about 2-3 minutes. Now add cardamom and nutmeg powder and all the seeds. Mix very well. Take from the heat and spread evenly on a greased tray. Cut into a diamond or square shape while its warm.
