What is a mimosa?

A mimosa is a cocktail made with equal parts champagne or sparkling wine and chilled citrus juice, usually orange juice. It is often served in a champagne flute and is popularly enjoyed during brunch or celebratory occasions. The name “mimosa” for the drink is believed to have originated from its resemblance to the vibrant yellow flowers of the mimosa plant, Acacia dealbata, due to the similar color of the cocktail. The Mimosa cocktail is notably associated with the Ritz Hotel in Paris, where it gained popularity in the 1920s as a signature drink served in their elegant dining and social spaces. This virgin mimosa recipe is the perfect non-alcoholic option to the classic cocktail. Whether its personal preference or for young ones, this non-alcoholic mimosa recipe is a truly delicious drink. You could pretty much call this a non alcoholic bucks fizz too! For another mocktail option, you might like this Cranberry Mocktail or Pomegranate Mocktail which is another bubbly drink with gorgeous colours. Some other great options all year round include Mango Mocktail and Watermelon Mocktail.
