Quick and Easy Oreo Whipped Cream Frosting
This easy and quick frosting can be used to top many desserts, from cupcakes to cakes! It is slightly tangy, moderately sweet, flavored with vanilla, and studded with chopped Oreo cookies. If you find the cream cheese frosting too sweet and tangy, you should try this one. Heavy cream balances the tanginess of cream cheese and provides a light and fluffy texture to the frosting. Traditional cream cheese frosting is decadent but requires butter and tons of sugar to balance the tanginess and provide structure. But if we combine cream cheese with whipping cream, much less sugar is needed, and frosting becomes as light as a cloud. However, you can change the cream cheese and whipping cream ratio slightly. Add more cream cheese to make the icing a little tangier, or add more whipped cream to make the frosting lighter and fluffier. Oreo Whipped Cream Frosting goes well with Oreo cupcakes and Oreo cakes. You can also use this frosting to frost chocolate and vanilla cakes and cupcakes.
How To Make Oreo Whipped Cream Frosting
In a large bowl, using a hand-held or stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat cream cheese and icing sugar on medium speed for about two minutes or until smooth and lump-free. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl.
Add heavy cream and vanilla and mix on low speed for 30 seconds. Then, increase the speed to high and continue beating for 1-2 minutes or until thick and stiff peaks form.
Fold in the chopped Oreos with a spatula until fully incorporated. If you are using this frosting to pipe on cupcakes or decorating the cakes, add crushed Oreos. Use the Oreo whipped cream frosting immediately or store it in the fridge for up to two days.

Spread the Oreo Whipped Cream Frosting on snack cakes, such as Chocolate Snack Cake (Eggless) or Cookies N Cream Snack Cake. You can double the recipe and use the frosting to frost the layer cakes, such as Eggless Vanilla Cake (Soft and Moist), Eggless Chocolate Cake (Super Moist), or Eggless Chocolate Oreo Cake. This frosting can also be spread on Eggless Fudgy Brownies. Heavy or Whipping Cream: Whipping cream should be at least 35% fat. Low-fat cream will not work for this recipe. Use refrigerated cold cream to achieve firm and stiff peaks. I suggest chilling the bowl and whisk attachment for the best results if you are working in a warm kitchen. Icing Sugar: The frosting also contains cookies, so we do not need to add too much sugar. However, go with your preference and add more or less sugar to taste. Oreo Cookies: You can use any flavor of Oreo cookies for this frosting. Making The Frosting For Piping: If you want to use frosting to pipe the cupcakes or decorate the cakes, add crushed Oreos. If you add finely chopped Oreos, use the large tips for the decorating and frosting. Quantity: This recipe yields approximately 3 cups of whipped cream frosting, which is enough to frost an 8-inch or 9-inch single-layer cake or 8-10 cupcakes. However, you can easily double the recipe to frost the layered cake or 9×13-inch sheet cake.
