The bonus is that it is so easy to make. Generally yogurt sauces are made by flavouring yogurt with herbs. In this recipe, crushed garlic and lemon juice is mixed with yogurt to make a flavourful yogurt dipping sauce.

Garlic Yogurt Sauce Ingredients
Yogurt – you need plain yogurt or regular yogurt for this recipe preferably full fat but low fat works too (just use less lemon juice). You can use Greek yogurt for Greek Yogurt Sauce if you want a thicker sauce Garlic – fresh garlic is definitely the way to go for best results. Add as little or as much as you want based on personal preference However, if you do not have garlic cloves, then use garlic powder Lemon juice – you can alternatively to fresh lemon juice use a little lemon zest. Lime juice is another option Salt and pepper to taste Optional: fresh herbs such as fresh dill or mint, fresh cilantro. You can also add dried mint or dried dill.
How to make Greek Yogurt Dip
Whisk together yogurt and lemon juice in a small bowl. Grate or mince a clove of garlic and give it a good stir Add a pinch of salt to taste and lots of black pepper
Pro Tips for Creamy Yogurt Sauce
I recommend that you do not use a food processor to blitz the yogurt and garlic together – it will make the dip runny. However, you can use a food processor to mince the garlic. Use greek yogurt to keep the dip thick – this is the key in Greek yogurt sauce Keep refridgerated to keep the sauce thick.
Serving Suggestion for Garlic Yogurt Sauce
Spoon lemon yogurt sauce into wraps or pita pockets.
Dunk these air fryer garlic fries, pita chips and air fryer breaded mushrooms as an alternative to a ranch dressing.
Use it as a salad dressing or add to burrito bowls.
The yogurt garlic dip can replace sour cream in many Mexican recipes such as these sweet potato and black bean quesadilla.

Storage
